I've gotten the impression that some of you have been concerned about
sleeping arrangements, so I've volunteered to help you all take care of
things.
Any individuals or groups of less than four people who want to group
together to share a room with others (thus reducing the cost substantially), email me. I will randomly group people and smaller groups together into groups of four (three minimum) so you can all get the most out of your stay while paying the least amount of $$$.
Each group will be emailed separately, telling them:
- Who the members of their group are (with email addresses).
- Who their randomly picked group leader (responsible for making a
reservation) is.
- The number to call in order to make a reservation.

We're sorry if any one out there tried to register last night but couldn't. Seems GTE cut their RTP fiber optic line last night. For various reasons, the registration script is on a different domain than the rest of the pages, which is why it was inaccessible. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. You can once again register.

Whew! After nearly two weeks of hard work, Stone and I managed to get the new web design completed and installed.
We think you will find the new pages much easier to navigate. Every page
can be reached from the menu bar on the left. We hope you like the new
design. If you see anything that needs to be changed or if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to write me or Stone.
Also new, we have lowered our price to $30.00. We have also implemented a recruiters bonus program. For every friend that you recommend you will receive $5.00 cash back at the party. So if you aren't signed up already, then do so. If you are registered, then get all your friends to sign up too!

The staff had a meeting last night to go over a lot of information. Not only did we determine specifics for tournaments, we also decided to make a few changes to the party. Changes I think everyone will be more than happy about. The web pages are getting some work this weekend, so expect to see the new changes and updates next week.

It's a 3 day party, so where do you sleep? The managment of the Best Western has set a special rate for those people who are participating in the FRAG event that weekend. The rate is $55.00 per room for up to 4 people in the room. Please mention Free Range Action gaming and this special rate when you call to reserve your room. The phone number for info and registrations is: 336-584-0151. There are only 20 rooms at this special rate so call and reserve yours now!

Some people have expressed concerns about FRAG having enough power to properly supply 120 users with continuous power for the whole weekend. I guess it is pretty standard for LANparties that are held in a hotel to have power problems. Let me assure you that FRAG is by no means the typical LANparty. As in the past, we always put plenty of planning into our parties. I met with the electrician of the Burlington Inn Best Western before we booked the room. They have 400amps of power that isn’t being used and they are running the proper cables from their main power distribution center to the banquet room so that we will be able to use this power. We are investing over a thousand dollars in a power distribution box to properly fuse and distribute this power to all of you. So if you had any previous concerns about FRAG being up to our usual standards, let me push your worries aside. FRAG 5 will be as trouble free and fun as the previous 4 parties. Hope to see you there!

I got a great package in the mail today. GT Interactive and Epic Games sent me some cool prizes to hand out at F.R.A.G. v5.0! Check out the prizes page to see what we'll be handing out as door prizes and tournament prizes.

Allrighty. Registration is open. Sponsors are contributing prizes and other goodies. Servers are being built and tested ... heavily tested, hehe. All we need now are people who can actually dish out 48 hours worth of hard core gaming and extreme competition. Sure, you can beat down the mighty LPBs online, but can you handle two days of 119 other LPB's beating down your wuss ass? Only one way to find out ... REGISTER!

Registration is now open.
Excited? You should be. The first Free Range Action Gaming party of the year 2000 will be our biggest event to date: twice as many seats and more than three times as long as any previous party. From Friday March 31st at 5pm until Sunday April 2nd at 5pm will be one all day, all night, continuous, play-until-you-vomit, non-stop LAN party of death. Forget all that snow... now you have a real reason to stay indoors for days.
To accomodate our new and improved capacity, we'll be holding this event at the Burlington Best Western. Obviously this is your best choice for a hotel room if you're coming in from out of town, and even if you aren't, it sure would maximize playing time, wouldn't it? We'll be announcing the details of the special rate we expect to get pretty soon and we've got 30 rooms reserved as of right now.
The cost to you will be $35.00 and, as usual, you'll need to bring your own computer, monitor, network adapter, headphones, and power strip. We'll provide the fun. As we talk with our sponsors, we'll let you know what kind of loot will be given away as door prizes and awards for our six planned tournaments (3 team, 3 individual).
So head over to registration and get a move on. Time waits for no man.
